Yes, focus one big one on St Louis or Kansas City, instead of trying to scatter out. Those are right in the center of the United States. I recommend St Louis.

Crime and the WT - a much bigger issue
by DCM inin treating criminal acts as "congregational matters" rather than criminal ones, the watchtower society is providing a safe haven for all types of criminals.
their policies have far greater implications than just the tragic pedophile cover-up.
while the wt society may not be "robbing the bank", they are most certainly "driving the getaway car" and are therefore a willing accomplice to all sorts of crime.

i am new to this site and have read with keen interest the many and varied topics that have been posted.
during my 9 years of presiding i encountered certain corrupt c/os for example the friends would treat them like little demy gods, hanging onto their every word, they would, on their visit influence the brothers to part with cash for privledges.

Dateline discussed openly in our congregation
by TheMatrix inyesterday, the presiding overseer (elder h) read the letter from the christian congregation of jehovahs witnesses (us branch) regarding their policy on child abuse.
all scriptures were also looked up and read.. elder h is a very prepared brother.
he is a gilead graduate and served as a missionary for about 7 years in kenya before coming home because of illness.

Some states require it and most elders comply but NOT ALL. And in those cases they most often do not turn it in. And even in those where they do turn it in, unless the guy had 2 witnesses that he molested the local elders do NOT disfellowship him even if the courts do, say by DNA evidence, but the elders didn't have two witnesses of his pedophilia. Thus some convicted pedophiles are behind bars but JWs in "good-standing." Now tell that to your elders and let them squirm.

nothing in the bible is symbolic, because saying things that are symbolic in the bible, is like calling jehovah a liar, god would not write something like in the bible, then out of no where, it really means something else... example: 144,000, some people said's that's symbolic, lol yea right.... .
anyway it seems like no one here wants to lived in the new earth, my question is why?

Pagan origins of Christanity?
by crownboy ini'm in the middle of reading jesus and the lost goddess: the secret teachings of the original christians and after this i would like to read the jesus mysteries.. i happened to come upon this book by accident, but i was surprised to see just how much christanity has possibly borrowed from pagan religions (i knew that ot stories like the flood were borrowed, but figured the nt was made by some cultic jews).
i also didn't realize that certain letters of paul may be forgeries, or that certain passages in the "genuine" letters could be allusions to pagan things.
are there any other or books or websites on the topic that anyone could recommend?

Most JWs who quit the Watchtower DO NOT become pagans or atheists, contrary to the impression your posting would convey. Charles Russell a Child Molester?
by LFitzwater ini recall reading a couple years back, some court documents posted on an ex-jw site that stated that charles taze russell was accused by his wife (at their divorce hearing) of sexually abusing a girl that they had taken in to their home.
does anyone have any information on this?
or know where i can find this again?
